Co-Founder and Co-Manager at Entrained Flow Services LLC
February 2016 - Present | Beverly Hills, CA and Long Beach, MSWhile I originally developed various chemical solvents to more cleanly separate crude oil and bitumen from reservoir pore-space – and then worked to commercialize a much-needed portable CO2 exhaust gas compression/injection EOR system for oil fields (unserved by CO2 pipelines) and Micro-Clustered Water and CO2 Foams for EOR – I ultimately discovered, recently licensed and am now commercializing some of the most-needed technologies by the oil & gas industry today: (1) a more reliable, lower-cost, high-pressure, higher-flow Artificial Lift de-watering system that can pump produced-water at ultra-high suction rates from the deepest heel to the farthest toe of any horizontal well, and (2) a high-pressure Frac Proppant Injection system that can bypass surface pressure pumps to significantly reduce pump load, eliminate proppant abrasion damage and equipment redundancy. Entrained Flow Services is territorially sub-licensing to international oil service companies manufacturing and distribution rights to its new product-line of Reservoir Robots: high-pressure, high-flow EOR and frack fluids injection, wellbore cleanout and de-watering technologies which can significantly lower the cost of hydraulic fracking, secondary water-flooding, tertiary chemical and gas injection EOR sufficiently enough to earn real profits even in today's low-priced oil market. EFS technologies exploit a proprietary scientific understanding and breakthrough in the field of Boundary Layer Fluid Mechanics – creating an entirely unique and more fuel-efficient way to re-pressurize and de-water aging reservoirs to produce more oil & gas than competing technologies. And EFS PressureBots can do it more reliably than current type Beam Pumps, electromagnetic LEAP pumps, Jet Pumps and centrifugal Electric Submersible Pumps (ESPs) which Entrained Flow Reservoir Robots may potentially obsolete by offering superior performance and cost advantages that such older technology pumps cannot profitably achieve.

Founder and Managing Member at TexasEOR Associates
November 2015 - Present | Beverly Hills, CATexas EOR Associates (www.TexasEOR.com) has licensed U.S. rights to a new product-line of E4EOR chemical EOR solvents, StickyCO2 Foam and Micro-Clustered Water Treatment technologies (that can better penetrate and permeate reservoir pore-space to deliver both liquid and gas injected EOR chemicals) as well as non-exclusive rights to use other advanced horizontal drilling and EOR-tracking technologies that may benefit the Company's Solvent-Assisted Waterflooding and Gas Injection EOR projects. TexasEOR's Solvent and Micro-Clustered Water processes may also be used in and benefit Solvent-Assisted Gas-Fracking, Hydraulic-Fracking and Gas-Injection N2+CO2 EOR projects by reducing stranded oil viscosity (to better mobilize it) while inhibiting the precipitation of asphaltenes, scale and paraffin waxes that may otherwise clog reservoir pore-space, restrict solvent dispersion and reduce oil flow to the production well. The ability to foam the E4EOR solvent (to make "StickyCO2") may further increase CO2 EOR recovery rates by reducing CO2-channeling (that by-passes otherwise recoverable oil deposits) and by delivering a multidose of viscosity-reducing and pore-cleaning chemicals all in E4EOR Foam and in the CO2 contained in the foam. With its suite of advanced, next-generation EOR technologies, Texas EOR Associates intends to target the many 1000s of pressure-depleted, closed and non-producing oil fields in America (that still contain millions of barrels of "stranded" and "residual" oil) for EOR revitalization and re-pressurization today in order to produce new oil from old oil wells at an all-in cost of less than $20 per barrel of recovered oil (a low enough cost to generate meaningful profits even in today's low oil price market).

Founder & Chief Creative Officer at ClickVote.com
2013 - PresentBecause many Americans are uninformed, misinformed or ill-informed about election issues and the very Candidates for whom they are being asked to cast their vote -- Larry Shultz and his sons created www.ClickVote.com as a one-stop online and mobile destination to make it easy for Voters to learn about and compare the Candidates running for office (and make an informed voting decision as to which Candidates are worthy of their vote, who shares their values, their principles and stance on issues they care about). www.ClickVote.com successfully launched for the 2014 Mid Term Election Season.

Member and Chief CO2 EOR Evangelist at Fossil Bay Energy LLC / CO2 EOR
2015 - January 2016Why spend $60 to produce a barrel of shale/tight oil, when Fossil Bay's portable CO2 EOR equipment can produce oil for less than $15-$25 ? Fossil Bay is an emerging leader in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technologies and services, fielding the oil industry's next-generation fleet of fully-automated, portable exhaust gas injection CO2-EOR skids to bring low-cost, variable-pressure CO2-EOR capabilities on-site to EOR-worthy mature and legacy oil fields not served by CO2 pipelines. Co-Founded by Larry Shultz, Dan Kulka and Mike McGhan (who previously co-founded and separately built Hanover Compressor and then Valerus Compression into billion-dollar gas compression service companies) and granted the exclusive U.S. rights to three key Weatherford International gas injection patents - Fossil Bay builds and deploys portable CO2 exhaust gas injection equipment to re-enter, re-pressurize and revitalize the tens of thousands of pressure-depleted, marginally-producing stripper wells and abandoned oil fields in America that still contain billions of barrels of stranded oil, but that don't have local access to a CO2 pipeline. Comparatively, the Company's new suite of patented thermal, chemical and portable CO2 EOR technologies and services can produce new supplies of crude oil from old pressure-depleted conventional oil fields at an all-in cost of less than $15-$25 per barrel -- one-third the cost, with one-tenth the annual decline rate, and more than six times the ultimate recovery rate of unconventional shale oil resources. Fossil Bay partners Kulka, Shultz & McGhan are seeking to form joint ventures with third-party mineral rights owners, operators and oil companies which own EOR-worthy mature and legacy oil leases that previously produced millions of barrels of oil from primary recovery -- whose currently pressure-depleted reservoir and geological characteristics can benefit from use of portable Exhaust Gas CO2-EOR re-pressurization to revive and revitalize oil production in dormant wells.

Technology Co-Developer at SRS International and Sable Energy
2011 - 2014Co-developed the enabling technology (with SRS' George Hawranik and veteran oil refinery manager Glenn McGinnis) that resulted in 2013 demonstration of one of the world's first full-scale, multi-ton, continuous-flow extraction of bitumen from various African, Utah and Canadian tar sands and oil sands ores using a unique water-free solvent-based process that separates bitumen/oil and other hydrocarbons from sand, dirt and other substances with high efficiency and without creating tailing ponds and other environmental hazards. Because it uses no water (unlike other technologies that compete against agricultural and municipal interests for water that there's not enough of, while producing toxic tailings ponds) our water-less bitumen extraction technology can unlock the value of America's vast tar sands and oil sands resources without suffering the water-intensive environmental devastation seen in Canada.

Co-Founder at Saturated Gas, Inc.
July 2013Saturated Gas is developing next-generation EOR projects and technologies, including an evolutionary new Vacuum Valve Pump that can uniquely pump produced-water and oil at low cost out of the farthest leg of a horizontal oil well (at high volume and velocity) using the geothermal heat contained in most oil wells to power the pump (instead of using expensive electricity) -- and at the same time, repressurize the played-out reservoir with the expanding gas that powers the pump. Tens of thousands of high water-cut, marginally-producing stripper-wells and shut-in, abandoned oil fields (that were closed because the cost to pump out the produced-water costs more than the value of the recovered oil) -- but which still contain millions of barrels of "stranded" residual OOIP -- can thus be re-entered and equipped with this low-cost geothermal-powered submersible pump to literally repressure the reservoir to increase oil recovery and produce new Tertiary EOR revenues by converting old plugged oil well liabilities into new assets of EOR profits and proved producing reserves.
